Our Teeling Single Malt 'Virgin American Oak' Cask #12507 boasts an array of toasty flavors that are coated with malt through and through. It's like that first time as a kid when you had a malted shake instead of just a milkshake. For you bourbon drinkers, this is your 'ah ha' moment in whiskey. Even at 118.4 proof, the texture is sweet and silky from the start. The nose is malt, cognac and farmhouse cider. Next, your palate is draped in toasty, brown spiced wood, poached peaches and calvados. It finishes spicy and a touch hot, so this is where an ice cube sets the whole dram into balance. One of the most unique whiskies I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. Period.
