Batch #1 from 2019 is 115.2 proof and a perfect example of why a great blend can easily beat any single barrel selection. The entry nose is reminiscent of an EH Taylor Small Batch, while the first sips taste of gentle toast and long-lasting brown spices. It drinks more like 107 proof, and the more you dig into it, the more the cherry and banana come through. There's obviously older whiskey in here, and it was able to mature gracefully by going into the barrel at a lower proof.
