I recently had the opportunity to blind taste a flight of A-M-A-Z-I-N-G rye whiskies...like 10 of them...all allocated & limited editions. My notes on this one blind:
Oh geez...well that's a sweet nose. Rum finish bourbon? Sauterne? Pretty beastly and decadent. Hi proof again. Woofda. Sweet poached pear. Hot. A bit over the top (in all the right ways). Some type of barrel finished hi rye bourbon or rye.
Well....NOT barrel finished....just supremely barrel influenced. Damn Jack Daniel's, keep it up!
