Kaikyō purchased aged barrels of American rye whiskies from 2 distilleries. After being blended together, the liquid was re-barreled in new mizunara casks for an undisclosed period of time and then bottled at 42% ABV.
Aromas of rye dough and toast, cherry and nutmeg. The palate is an unmistakable Japanese texture, with more aromas of faint oak chip smoke, goat barn, allspice, sweet ginger and papyrus.
