This store pick will always cement in my memory the experiences of my March 2024 Kentucky trip. I just wish it yielded more than 108 bottles! We got to taste quite a few barrels at our Heaven Hill visit and this one stood out with it's contrasting sweet palate and 'freshly straw'd horse stable' aroma. This 10yr further evolves into creme brulee w/ a faint whiff of candied lemon, mild x-mas cinnamon stick and finishes like you're standing in a dank rickhouse. It drinks lower than it's already modest 117.9 proof and the name we gave it also pays homage to one of the most passionate and entertaining characters from our Michter's visit in downtown Louisville. Be sure to double check the name on this bottle when you're shopping in store.
