Dave Pickerell's legacy is in this bottle. In 2011, when Drew Kulsveen was working to get Willett Distillery back online, Dave leant his technical know-how. In 2018, as founding partner and master distiller, Dave counselled Metallica on their Brandy cask finished, sonic-enhanced rye. When Blackened was looking for a location to shoot a promotional video, the beautiful grounds at Willett were a natural choice and Dave made the introduction. Enter 'Blackened x Willett' Cask Strength Madeira Finish Rye. All the juice is from Willett and averages 6 1/2 yrs in age. Their vivid, high-tone spice is complemented by the salty, sultry notes from the Madeira barrels. This is a big, deep, dense whiskey and is perfect for a 'last pour' of the night with close, enthusiastic friends. When it's gone, it's gone.
